Paula Dodgion Crawford

March 12, 1951 - October 1, 2009




I have been a secretary in the Norman Public Schools for 31 years. Have 3 WONDERFUL children and 10 BEAUTIFUL grandchildren ages 2 to 9.



Paula Jean Dodgion-Crawford of Norman, passed on for her eternal job as an ANGEL Thursday, October 1, 2009, after a long battle with liver disease and awaiting transplant.

She was 58 years old, born March 12, 1951 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Roland "RK" and Genevieve Dodgion.

She leaves behind both parents; a brother, Keith Dodgion and his wife Jerri; sons, Eric and wife Karena; Scott and wife Melissa; daughter, Heather Crawford-Benenati, all from Norman; aunt, Maxine Maddox ; nieces: Rayma Porter, Rachele Reagan and Kristie Dodgion, cousins: Penny McMahan, Emily Windolph, Jannell Maddox, Gary Maddox, Tom Phillips, Carolyn Byers, Stanley McInvale, Charolotte Pate, Bertha Johnson, Marilyn Pittman; great-niece Brooke Reagan; great-nephews Chris Laidacker, Derek Degeare and Blake Porter; 10 beautiful grandchildren: Erin, Matthew, Leah, Jonathon, Ember, Jacqueline, Evelyn, Carys, Jamison, and Corban; mother-in law, Donna Crawford; sister-in-laws Terri Boyer and her husband Paul and Traci Cunningham and her husband Rob. She also leaves behind numerous friends and acquaintances.

Paula enjoyed 32 wonderful years with Norman Public Schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband Tommy Crawford and her father-in-law Cecil Crawford.

Paula will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at Journey Church at 4 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2009 in Norman in Paula's honor. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.

Paula has touched the life of so many and would offer a hand to anyone. She will truly be missed and is so deeply loved.

Very sad time. I attended Lincoln Elementary, Central and NHS with Paula and she was always a wonderful person. I am greatful that I was able to see and talk to her one last time at one of our Coach's gatherings. She will be missed.
